Payments
To confirm enrolment on a course please return the enrolment form together with
- evidence of payment of the deposit, or course fees.
- (if appropriate) evidence of insurance (see section "Liability and Insurance" below)
- (if appropriate) evidence that any visa requirements have been satisfied (see section "Visas" below)
Payment of all Fees for the course must be received in full at least 28 days prior to the scheduled course start date or upon confirmation of enrolment if the course is scheduled to commence less than 28 days from the date of submission of the enrolment form. There is no registration fee. All bank transfer charges must be paid in advance by the student, and a copy of the bank transfer order sent to The Cambridge College of English Ltd., as proof of payment of the deposit, balance, or full course fees.
Refunds and Cancellations
- If an individual student or company cannot attend their chosen course, notice of cancellation must be received in writing at least 28 days prior to the scheduled start of the course, whereupon a full refund of Fees will be given less the deposit and bank charges. The student or company will be liable for payment of all Fees if written notice of cancellation is not received by The Cambridge College of English Ltd. from the student or company at least 28 days prior to the scheduled start of the course.
- If The Cambridge College of English Ltd. cancels a course (other than following a cancellation by the student), The Cambridge College of English Ltd. will provide a full refund.
- The Cambridge College of English Ltd. reserves the right not to accept any application. In the event that an application is rejected by The Cambridge College of English Ltd, all monies received will be refunded in full.
- The Cambridge College of English Ltd. reserves the right not to admit any applicant to a course where the payment of course fees has not been made within 28 days of the scheduled course start date.
- No refunds of Fees will be provided once a student has started his or her course for any reason, including, without limitation:
- in the case of early withdrawal from a course; or
- in the case of non-attendance or absence due to illness, travel arrangements or any other cause
- Any refund of Fees payable by The Cambridge College of English Ltd. will be paid to the person named on the enrolment form by bank transfer to the bank account specified in the enrolment form.
- Any bank or other charges payable by The Cambridge College of English Ltd. will be deducted from any monies refunded.
Liability and Insurance (when applying for the Residential Business English Course in the UK)
- Students must have adequate medical, accident, travel and cancellation insurance.
- Proof of adequate cover must be provided at the time of enrolment.
- All insurance must cover the cost of student repatriation.
- Any costs incurred in the course of student repatriation must be borne by the student.
- The Cambridge College of English Ltd. reserve the right not to allow onto any course a student suffering from any illness, medical condition, mental or physical, which has not been disclosed on the enrolment form.
- The Cambridge College of English Ltd. will not accept liability for the loss of or injury or damage to, any persons or property while on the course (whether or not on the course premises).
- The student will be liable for any costs of repair or replacement arising from wilful damage caused by the student and will indemnify The Cambridge College of English Ltd. for any claim from any third party with respect to such damage.
Visas
- If a prospective student requires a visa for entry into the United Kingdom, enrolment will not be confirmed until such time that appropriate evidence of the student having the correct visa is provided.
- If a student’s application for a visa is unsuccessful The Cambridge College of English Ltd. will refund all monies paid on receipt of a copy of the letter of refusal (form REF1), from the British Consulate or visa section of a British Embassy. The full refund will only be made if The Cambridge College of English Ltd. receives the document at least 7 days before the beginning of the course (less bank charges and the deposit).
- If the student does not arrive as scheduled, leaves early or does not attend regularly, The Cambridge College of English Ltd. may be obliged to inform the UK immigration authorities.
Complaints
- All complaints must be made as soon as possible.
- The Cambridge College of English Ltd. will attempt to resolve any problem as soon as practicable after The Cambridge College of English Ltd. is made aware of the problem.
Conduct
- The Cambridge College of English Ltd. expects all students to be motivated and considerate. The Cambridge College of English Ltd. also expects that students will find staff to be equally motivated and considerate to the needs of students.
Force Majeure
- The Cambridge College of English Ltd. will not provide compensation for any failure in obligation caused by events beyond the foreseeable control of The Cambridge College of English Ltd.
- The Cambridge College of English Ltd. shall not be liable for costs incurred as a result of such events. Such events shall include (without limitation):
- War
- Threat of war
- Riot
- Civil strife
- Industrial dispute
- Terrorist activity
- Natural or nuclear disaster
- Unusually adverse weather conditions
Agreement to Terms and Conditions
- By signing the enrolment form the applicant authorises The Cambridge College of English Ltd. to take the appropriate action in the case of medical emergency.
- By signing the enrolment form the student confirms its understanding and acceptance of these terms and conditions outlined by The Cambridge College of English Ltd on the website.
